What is the benefit of choosing washable covers for often-used cushions and throws?

Published on

Cushions and throws live the toughest life – people sit on them, eat near them, spill drinks, kids jump on them, pets sleep on them. If the covers can’t be easily washed, they quickly start looking tired, stained and grubby.

Washable covers let you freshen things up whenever needed. A quick cycle in the washing machine brings back colour, removes smells and resets that “used” feeling. You’re not stuck with marks or forced to replace items just because of a few accidents.

This also gives you more freedom to choose light colours. You don’t have to avoid whites, creams or soft pastels out of fear. As long as you can zip the cover off and wash it, you can take the risk.

For a home that actually gets lived in – not a show home – washable covers are a very practical way to balance comfort, style and sanity.
